Interview Questions
I'm really happy with how my Interviews and Observations have gone, here's hoping I have gathered enough detailed information for some great analysis! Below are the final set of questions I used during my interview, after much chopping and changing and gathering opinion from colleagues and peers I decide on the final 11...At the end of each interview I ask for any other comments they may have on the questioned subjects, this was incredibly insightful! It enabled me to see what each interviewee felt most strongly about and on occasion introduced me to findings I didn't expect!

Hi Nicola,
ReplyDeleteI think you have a great range of questions here that should have provided very valuable information for your inquiry. They have given me some inspiration for my own questionnaire for Module 3. Thank you so much for completing my draft questionnaire for my pilot research into Dance Teaching for people on the Autistic Spectrum on Survey Monkey. If you have any tips that could help me for Module 3 it would be great if you would pass them on. Good luck with Module 3 and future career developments. Lynn
Hi Nicola, I believe there are many similarities between your interview process and one that I used for my data collection. I also started out with a set of questions that were the same for every interviewee. I feel that this allowed for detailed comparison of responses between participants. And again, I too provided the opportunity for participants at the end of the interview to expand on anything they might have wished to, or to add detail to a response or to ask me anything! On questions like your number 7 for example: 'do you believe dance is best taught by a specialist or a generalist?' did your responses vary in detail at all? It is phrased as such that someone could simply give a one-word answer if they wished, either specialist or generalist. In this instance, did you try to probe any further information out of your participants?
